About Bear Paw... 

Ownership:  Bear Paw Camp has been owned and operated by Bob and Nancy Svoboda since 1991.   Prior to coming to Bear Paw, they were responsible for organizing numerous family, church and couples’ retreats.   They now use that experience to personally ensure that each group’s stay at Bear Paw is both enjoyable and first rate.

 

 

Uniqueness: Bear Paw Camp offers year round features not found at many other camps.

  •        Groups booking the camp have exclusive
           use of the entire facility, allowing them to
           set their own program and schedules.

  •        Groups can cook their own meals using the
           fully equipped camp kitchen or they can
           dine on quality meals prepared by the
           camp staff.

  •         Bear Paw is available for overnight
            camps/retreats, seminars or daytime
            picnics.

Location:  Bear Paw Camp is located in a beautifully wooded 14 acre tract on the Pend Oreille River in the heart of the Idaho-Washington Lake Country.  The camp is nestled in the Pend Oreille Valley 11 miles north of Newport, WA at an elevation of 2000 ft., with surrounding peaks reaching to the 6000 ft. level.  The abundant Ponderosa pines provide an ideal setting for the modern, clean accommodations, the excellent recreational facilities, and the conference rooms for groups of all sizes.
